NatureWorks

2002 was a milestone year for Pacific Resource Group. As far as packaging innovation goes, Pacific Resource Group’s initial offering of their revolutionary NatureWorks bio-friendly produce containers ranks right up at the very top in the entire history of container and package manufacturing. It was such a painfully obvious notion- the idea to package nature’s organic produce in containers that were not harmful to the environment- that Pacific Resource Group was absolutely surprised no one had thought of it yet. But they were all the more ecstatic to find that other container companies just didn’t really have an interest in pursuing or exploring the brilliant idea. All the better for Pacific Resource Group.

In the 6 years since Pacific Resource Group started making NatureWorks available to the public, the enthusiasm provided by their customers and the major retail chains have indicated that introducing NatureWorks was an absolute complete success! Now other container manufacturers are rushing in to try and play catch up in an attempt to remain competitive and capture some of the market share for eco friendly containers and packaging. To late for them, because Pacific Resource Group is much above and far ahead of the economically-safe container manufacturing fad that has swept the industry. Pacific Resource Group embraces it. And their development of the NatureWorks line proves that they have advanced far beyond what the competition is trying to come up with in response.

It all started with the PLA line of shrink film. PLA is polymer that is corn based and it is far better for the environment than packaging that happens to be petroleum based. Corn based polymers are all the rage right now, not just in packaging manufacturing, but across many different types of industries. To give you an idea of just how large a scope corn based polymers have today, just recently huge billion dollar multi national conglomerates such as DuPont, Sony and Tate & Lyle PLC have thrown their hat into the ring and begun exploring the possibilities of corn based polymers. Pacific Resource Group, on an average, has been in the corn based polymer game about a half decade longer than everyone else.

That added experience has allowed Pacific Resource Group to expand beyond corn based polymers and develop packaging that is based on other nature safe substances.
Combine your PLA shrink wrap with any number of our different earth friendly trays. Pacific Resource Group makes trays made from bamboo, palm fiber, sugarcane, and even tapioca!

And if you would rather have another option to go with your bamboo, palm fiber, sugarcane, and tapioca trays besides PLA shrink wrap, be sure to try the NatureWorks pealable lidding material and oxo-degradeable cling film instead. As always, if the customer has an idea that fits their needs better than what Pacific Resource Group has available, Pacific Resource Group will work with you to find a solution that satisfies and exceeds all your expectations.
